Clinical safety

The safety principles and limitations of the 30 Second Vitals experience.

What this service is—and is not

30 Second Vitals is intended to support general health awareness through camera-based estimates and plainly explained trends. It is not an emergency service, a diagnosis, or a replacement for a validated medical device or healthcare professional.

Feeling seriously unwell?Do not wait for or rely on a camera scan. Use the urgent or emergency care route for your location.

Blood-pressure safety

A camera estimate does not measure pressure with an inflatable cuff. Unexpected results should be repeated after rest and, when appropriate, confirmed with a validated upper-arm monitor or healthcare professional. Users must not start, stop or change prescribed treatment on the basis of an app result.

Using your results responsibly

  • Show measurement quality and reject inadequate scans.
  • Separate estimated vitals from calculated wellness and risk indicators.
  • Use plain language and avoid diagnostic or guaranteed claims.
  • Provide confirmation and escalation guidance near the relevant result.
  • Monitor incidents, complaints, false reassurance and anxiety-related use.
  • Review copy and product changes under an accountable approval process.

Questions or concerns

If a result or explanation seems wrong, contact our team through the contact page. Include the time of the scan and a description of the issue, without sending passwords or private sign-in links.
